Excel 2011 and Text Centering?

    On line four and eight of the attached screen shot; the vertical centering tents to go bonkers when I adjust cell spacing and or horizontal centering. :confused:
    It only happens on one out of several lines that I select and then edit. I fix the problem by right clicking the troublesome cell -> Format Cells, under Alignment choosing "center" for vertical text alignment.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Maybe you have a carriage return or extra spaces in those cells?

    Just checked, and nope. The weird thing is, I can't seem to replicate it. It's like a ghost.

    Maybe I should start using Numbers...
    Or not...?

    Double lined borders are unsupported? :rolleyes:

    What happens when you try to use format painter to copy the formatting from a properly aligned cell?
