Hello,

Excel for Mac seems familiar but after trying to work in it, I discovered there are a lot of things that are not intuitive. For example, I searched on how to place lines around cells and double lines at the bottom of a total. No success. I know I probably need to buy the book but i haven't. So, any quick suggestion? Thanks.

Yes, either buy a book, or use the built-in Help function. Search for "border", or use Format Cells > Border

Double underline
Format > Cells... > Font
Underline (default is none) select double

Outline cell
Format > Cells... > Border
Outline
