Hi Guys,
For my dissertation i have to test a sample 3 times, in this case i measured the viscosity of my sample with increasing temperature.
Becaus i tested 3 times, i have 3 sets of values.
I have created a linked skatter chart to display my results.
However, what id like to do now is create an "average" line for the 3 lines, sort of like how a line of best fits works.

Is this possible? and if so can you guide me on how to do it.
Below is an image of my chart so far so you can visualise what im trying to explain.

Thank You

Are you talking about a regression line? If so linear?

hey thanks for the reply. Im not lookingfor a linear line. in theory what im looking for is the average point between the 3 points, for every point... which will connect up to give me an average line :S

I would create a forth row of data that averages the other three and graph it as if it was a fourth data set.
I don't think Excel Graph is capable of averaging as you need it.

I agree with the above post. If you want a simple average of the the 3 data sets at each X coordinate. Create a 4th column which calculates the average of the 3. Then simply graph the 4th line. Done.
