In excel when I type =100 into a cell the number 100 appears in that cell as expected.

But if I just type 100 it shows 1 which is not expected. It divides any number I enter by 100 in all cells. However if I type 1,000 then 1000 comes up (1000 gives 10).

Any ideas what's happening here?

Percentage?

Seems odd. If it wasn't for the fact that the 100 shows as 100 I might guess the cells are formatted to show numbers as percentages - but then you'd see the % sign so....?

This is a little old so hopefully you've found a fix but if not I'd start with trashing the workbook and starting from scratch. If you've got a lot of data you want to save cut and paste into the new workbook...
