i noticed yesterday an excessive battery drain on my x. The battery percentage seems to crash quickly with minimal use. I went and looked what was draining it and it said “restore” was 30% usage so I chalked it up to new phone syncing. But when i’d Put it on a charger it would not add anything to the batter tarted and it seemed to charge quicker.

Woke up this morning and it was at 89% after being on an apple lighting cord all night charging. Now an hour and a half, with no use it’s at 70%.

Think it’s a dud? My 7s didn’t have nearly this amount of drain on it.

I would do a full power down of the phone. Then plug it into the original charger and let it charge completely. I would then leave it on standby, with no apps running to see how quickly the battery depletes.

If anything seems out of the ordinary, don't try to fix it yourself...bring it to Apple.

It turns out it would crash when I would load music or anything from my iTunes. Per apple did a reset and it bricked itself. Got it replaced from the store and the new one doesn't have any of the problems the first one had.

Looks like you just got a lemon... Glad the store was able to replace it for you !
