You called your bank or the issuer of their credit card???

Shipping info is sent, it may not be used...but its provided. Someone in the credit union is hardly qualified to comment on credit card processing (unless your bank issues the card and processes charges).

It was a debt card, and it is theirs, so they are very qualified to speak on it.

Frankly I don't care about this any further. I know what I have been getting and you guys can believe it or not. Ciao...

I've purchased all of my Apple products via the Apple website for years, from computers to accessories and cables. I've yet to get spammed by anyone as a result.

Somehow I doubt that, under payment options at Apple.com, it says:

Visa
MasterCard
Your Credit Union
American Express
Discover

You didn't by chance notice an uptick in black helicopters hovering around as well

LOL, I live next to the NSA, they hover around all the time. ;)

Debt card is backed by Visa and according to my bank the transactions go to them via the Visa network (it isn't a "Visa", it is a debt card that utilizes that network).

Like I said, I have seen papers come in with information that can only be gotten via Apple as they are the only ones that I have typed that in like that. It wasn't a lot but I did notice it. If the OP paid by a credit card I suppose it is possible that it was them but I wouldn't be surprised if Apple didn't use the information as well. It wouldn't be the first time that they were caught with their hands in the cookie jar (iPhone tracking etc...).

I love how a few people notice something and all of a sudden we are crazy just because we believe that Apple can do something wrong. Hell, their labor practices are horrid as well but hey, they are a stand up company! Please....

I know you guys love the company but guess what, they are not infallible.

No one's trying to disparage you. It's just odd that no one else seems to have that problem after ordering stuff from Apple.
