Exchange defective iPhone 5 at Verizon store?

Has anyone had any luck exchanging a defective iPhone 5 at a corporate Verizon store? This was a pre-order made online through Verizon. The Verizon store is closer to me than the Apple Store, so I'm curious if I can try an exchange there.

If it's a pre-order through Verizon as you say and not Apple then yes you can exchange it at your local Verizon store.

We pre-ordered ours through Verizon. Had a small dent in mine and my wife had a 2 scratches. Verizon store told us it would be easier to get replacements through the Apple store. Called Apples customer service, locked in a genius appointment at our local Apple store and got new ones. Didn't take too long.
