okay, out of curiosity....

i have a bad home button and will exchanging my iPhone 4 - will the genius put my current SIM in a new phone, or just give me the new phone with its SIM?

what's your experience been?

I had my iPhone 4 switched out as well. If I remembered correctly, they used the same sim and inserted into the new phone. In my rare(?) case they had to change the imei because it wasn't picking up service.

When I had to exchange my iPhone 4, they didn't swap out my SIM. Just had me do an Erase All Content and Settings on the phone, to delete everything. Then gave me a new iPhone with a new SIM card. Once we activated it in the Apple store, the old SIM card was useless. Besides, the iPhone doesn't store personal data on the SIM card, so there is nothing to worry about.
