Exclude iBooks from iCloud backup

In iOS 7 iBooks it's a independent app, and manually exclude from iCloud backup.
In iOS 8 it's not possible? I don't see the option.

I have several gigs of pdf, and I can not backup.

Were those PDFs added to the iBooks app (rather than being downloaded from the iBooks store), eg through iTunes? If so I don't think those are backed up if they're synced from your laptop. The same goes for pictures and music if it came from your PC.

If you store the PDFs in iCloud drive they will be backedup.

I have the same problem. I haven't found a way to exclude I ooks from backing up in iOS 8
