I have a few apps that I don't need to update. Is there any way of Software Update excluding the checking of updates for certain apps you choose? This would be helpful for me and would speed up the process as I have loads of Apple apps that are uselesss for me.

Thanks

You could always just not download the updates, but I agree it's a nuisance to constantly be reminded of updates you simply don't use.

Possibly, deleting the apps would cause them to no longer be listed, but, in case you change your mind, I'd copy them to CD/DVD/external drive before deleting them, as that makes it a lot easier to put them back than trying to reinstall them off the restore DVD.
