The last black phone I had was the iPhone 4. Black slabs are depressing.

The only red I'd buy is the red Mazda uses:

It'd be the first phone I don't put a case on! Might need to put a ceramic coat on it to protect it... 🙂

I can’t believe the article, the source, and no comments have pointed out the obvious: it’s the wrong shape and aspect ratio. It’s not “passport” enough and it’s clearly fake.

I can see both sides, because some of the colors they choose are bold choices. Like the 17 Pros. A lot of people got silver because orange was too much and blue was too dull/shows scratches too easily.

With something like the foldable, I can see why they wouldn't want to launch a wide color palette right out the gate.

It's just strange that they don't seem to be able to both offer black AND an interesting color anymore.

The red (I would have called it "Wine Red, Napa Red") many have been dying for with the Pro/Pro Max model.

The upcoming Dark Cherry is ok with the pro models, but if I was upgrading I'd probably get this rumored dark gray/slate. Sticking with 17 Pro Max

Who said Apple should not use color? I haven't heard that anywhere. I did read that people want black color again. You can have it both ways, you know?

Black has proven very popular for years.

Not everyone thinks traffic safety cone orange is attractive.

Black is indeed an excellent color, but it’s the Cupertino companies narrow minded stubborn refusal to provide choices. If major auto makers can offer a selection of colors, wildly profitable Apple can easily do the same.
 
I would LOVE to see Apple bring back some of their older popular colors for future iPhone models. I want to see the old Rose Gold color brought back for the rumored all-glass iPhone XX and the second-generation foldable iPhone.
 
I don’t know why I care what color my phone is because I have a case over the whole thing, but I really need the red foldable iPhone.
