i've been thinking about this, and am willing to try since its a rather inexpensive experiment.

just not sure on size. how close should it be to the top of your desk i guess is what i'm asking

I want to try this too... I have bad posture when I sit in a chair for a long period of time. It doesn't help that I'm sitting in front of a computer 80% of my awake time.

but, but, but... there are plenty of pictures of my setup and of me on the site.

well i guess another won't hurt. :p

nope, it wouldn't hurt at all. :p

maybe we should start a new thread in the Picture Gallery forum. whoever's first with their pic should do that...it would be the right thing to do. ;)

Dj...yup...have one and love it. great on the back and core.

the biggest thing is to make sure you get the right size. having the wrong size can hurt your knees b/c the legs are bent at an improper angle, PLUS, you have to worry about your wrists/shoulders etc... for the ergonomics.

it is a good thing though.

Cheers,
keebler

I was wondering if anyone else (besides killyp) uses these as their computer chair.

Have you seen results in any part of your body?
If yes, which part?
How long until results?
Do you sit on it a special way?

I think it's stupid. I've been using an exercise/yoga ball as a chair now for 8 months, and I don't see the point. It doesn't do anything, as far as I can tell. At first, I thought it was doing something. I kept trying to get a feeling of whether this was helping my back or stomach, but I think it was the placebo effect, or just a strong "desire" for this to do something......since I did spend money on this thing for the benefits.

EDIT: Actually, I do notice an effect, but only if I'm trying to sit on it cross-legged. If my feet touch the ground, then I don't notice any difference. Maybe the amount of benefit you get from it depends on how unfit you are. I wouldn't consider myself unfit at all, and I do exercise (although never using this ball, funny enough).

However, I continue to use it because of habit. I like using it as a chair.
