Exernal Storage Advice

Hey all.

I am looking for some advice, i want to get a external hard drive 500GB+ but something that won't fail on me in the next year, does anyone have any advice as to what unit's are good that are on the market at the moment.

I think these are the nicest drives out there!

They have Firewire 800, Firewire 400, and USB 2.0.

I wouldn't recommend Western Digital personally. Too many bad experiences there. 😛

I would go with Seagate if I were you.

Ive always bought my external drives from http://transintl.com/macupgrades/index.cfm

Never had any problems. The company I work for uses Lacie. They seem to like those.

You don't have to buy hardware from a Mac site....

Same stuff at Newegg. Much cheaper, and proven customer service.
