I see that Apple are opening a store in the new development in Exeter. Any ideas when it is due to open? I want to get a Macbook as my first Mac but want to get it from this store.

Do you have a link to where you got the information on an Exeter store?

That would be excellent, I was just walking around the new Princesshay development yesterday, and wished that an Apple store would be opened there.

EDIT: Ah found some information, this is good news.

Heard this a while back, fantastic news!! Hopefully it will open in the Autumn, however if you can't wait Southampton has a good Apple store too. Regent Street is not far away either - but yeah good to support the new one in Princesshay.

Seems to be due for a late November opening, they haven't even finished recruiting yet as far as I can find out.

Hello Luke! :D

This is agony! That black boarding on the shop with the Apple logo has been there for weeks. I really really want to buy Leopard there and was hoping they might have opening deals.

Would be a great time to open it - new store and new OS!

I called by the store earlier this week and workmen on site told me it was due to open on 24th November. That remains to confirmed by Apple themselves of course:cool:

I have just been to the grand opening of this store, fantastic!! Massive queue around the block, apple staff running up and down it whipping up enthusiasm. The first 1000 people got a really nice Tshirt that says :apple:Princesshay (that is the name of the new shopping centre).

The store itself is fantastic, on two floors and is quite big for a city that only has about 125,000 people. There is quite a large catchment area though with Plymouth and Bristol being far bigger and only about an hour away.

What an event, this is the way to do retail! Great experience - pay it a visit!!

You'll enjoy your visit, great store. Didn''t buy anything this time although I was very tempted by one of those ipod nanos! I was in the Regent St store recently and picked up Leopard there - otherwise it would have been Exeter.

They have a sweepstake going on, the prize is a 2.16ghz Macbook, 4gb i pod nano, and more! I've put my entry card in, fingers crossed!
