Yes I know what you are talking about - I did that in the past.

I did not see that pre-approval option when I signed up for the Mac Studio Klarna lease.

Will see next week when we place orders for the new iPhones ???

I am hoping I can get 2 Klarna leases - Studio and Ultra folding iPhone....

Not sure about the preapproval process. I’m hoping it operates the same that the iUP program did but I have a feeling it won’t.

I do both mine and my wife’s in my name so I’m hoping they won’t have an issue with me doing two separate check outs for a similar device. IUP always worked perfect for me.

Mine was setup differently by my dad both his and my Apple ID has his name on it hope not an issue since mine on ATT family plan.

I’m on IUP and I have his information.
 
We have to wait and see if Apple‘s gonna let us able to get preapproved before iPhone pre-order if it’s on a Saturday so we get seamless checkout

Because most orders will be delayed if all of us have to wait like five minutes to get approved

Agreed.

Also, multiple reports of Klarna denials. I'm not looking forward to next week. I have a feeling there are going to be A-LOT of disappointed customers.

I’m informed people who have the iPhone upgrade program you’re allowed to upgrade via your carrier and pay a fee each month to get early upgrades each year

What I was told, is you allowed to return the phone back to Apple and then directly finance with your carrier

With AT&T you only pay 12 months and $10 a month and you’re allowed to upgrade again next year

I tested this by using Klarna as the check out option on items valued over $2000 just to see for both my wife and I and I’m 90% sure the pre-approval happens as you get to the last screen before you click submit purchase.

You get a message after filling out all of your details for Klarna and a pop up comes up and says now that your application has been successfully submitted please proceed to the next page. I think that’s Klarnas pre-approval. I think if they were going to deny me, it would have come up before the submit purchase button but I could be wrong.

Did they ask you for photo I’d or face scan ?

Just asking to be sure what to expect

I would guess there will be preapproval and I bet it starts the evening of 9/9. No way they want all that pressure on Klarna servers on pre-order day...Would be an absolute cluster.

Those are the reasons Apple did preorders through IUP.

Let see there option if people get denied even being on IUP people could buy with the carriers and pay a fee to upgrade each year 10 bucks a month on ATT

If I were a betting man, IUP customers will be allowed to go through some sort of preapproval process. Also-I bet if you were approved on IUP you shouldn't have an issue getting approved through Klarna.

Just my opinion.

True do they ask for any face scan or photo ID with IUP didn’t ask for it.

On Apple end it gives you option how to upgrade if your on IUP

I am not sure if they will make you scan an ID, but if I was a betting man I would say they won't. They don't want to make the process slow and complicated.

We will find out soon enough.

I’m just asking because a family member who set up my Apple ID account years ago is the one who’s gonna upgrade my line my phone on IUP.

Remember, for more than 1 device, you have to submit a separate Klarna lease.
