Expand the length of Video Drop Zones in FCPX?

I'm working on creating some templates for Final Cut Pro X in Motion, and I have an area where I want a video drop zone. The layout is static... the video would just take a portion of the screen, but the lengths of the videos will vary. If I drop a video into the drop zone, it only plays as long as the Motion template is and then loops. For example, the template is 1 second long because there's no other movement, but the video i want to drop in is 20 minutes.

Any ideas?
