Everyone is expecting apple to launch 3G Iphone next week.

They probably will but there will be a surprise something else like the tablet or a second nano iphone or a surprise at no iphone announcement.

Sorry to state the obvious but lets not get complacent and assume apple will do what we all want it to do.

what about if theres no mention next Monday of the new iPhone. He may instead talk about the new software then maybe 10.6
Then a special event at end of june for iPhone 2??

If it's a surprise, it won't be the MacTablet, since everyone knows about that.

Conversely, if no one expects a MacTablet (As much as I want one, I certainly don't), then we will get one.

Wait a minute...

*Ahem* "Apple will never release a MacTablet. That'd be silly!"

*waits to be happily wrong*

Its kinda hard to expect something unexpected when its not expected. That makes the unexpected expected to be expected. Er, what? :p

OnT: I dont think we'll see a iTablet, neither will we see a iPhone Mini. Prolly something mac-ish, like a mac mini update or some'

the iphone has been out of stock for nearly a month now. They must release the iphone 3g on the 9th june as they're losing iphone sales everyday at the moment. People who go into an o2 shop to get an iphone will be persauded by the staff to by something like an n95 instead.

"There are known knowns. There are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we now know we don’t know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we do not know we don’t know." Donald Rumsfeld :D

He should be spokesman for Apple.

Man, he'd make a perfect president  ...or Apple employee...

This logic can be applied to the government with one addition: "There are unknown knowns. That is to say, there are things that we once knew but have either forgotten or have pushed to the side and now ignore."

See now I don't get this. People keep forgetting that the D in WWDC stands for Developer, as in software.

If people are expecting this to be a big hardware announcement even, well then they are going to be disappointing.

You're right, the D in WWDC is very important. I'll take back my statement of a new mac mini.

On the 9th and 10th we'll see the new iphone in jobs keynote and then it will all be SDK. :) And some numbers and figures of sales and profits and marketshare. ;)

It seemed like we've been waiting forever. But suddenly its only ONE WEEK TO GO!
My thoughts? The "one more thing" has got to be an iphone nano. And lets not forget the onslaught of killer apps thats going to be showed off at the WWDC. Lets not underestimate that. There is going to be this one killer app thats going to make people's jaws drop I can almost guarantee that.
Steve is going to lay the smackdown on the industry this June 9th. That is fer sure!!!

Maybe Julie Chen will be there to interview the next person voted out of the Big Brother house.

Yeah. Most likely some iphone software stuff, maybe more about osx, who knows.

I am partially torn on this topic. On one hand it would make pefect sense for Apple to release something else since this WWDC will probably have the most press coverage Apple has had. On the other hand could one announcement pottentially minimize another? It will be interesting for sure.

i just cant imagine apple not releasing a 3G iphone now due to all the hype i have seen on MR, it would be so sad and funny simultaneously..
