How low are you willing to go on the 6900XT you have? Oh and is it a reference card?Just ordered the 14" with M1 Max, 64GB with 4TB. Anyone want a minimally used Mac Pro?

These aren’t Apples most sold systems. And I doubt they ever will be, considering the price delta to the Air.Yeah, I am happy about being able to move to a smaller notebook for my next go around though. It will be interesting to see what comes of having the (potential for) equivalent to PS5 in Teraflops on Apple's most sold systems will do though.
I mean more sold than the Mac Pro, lol. These aren’t Apples most sold systems. And I doubt they ever will be, considering the price delta to the Air.
But I do believe they will sell well. If I had been in the market for a laptop….. I’m tempted even though I don’t even want a laptop!😀
I am hoping Apple will use some variant of DDR5 RAM (LPDDR5X...?), because a SoC that integrates CPU cores & GPU cores with a Unified Memory Architecture (UMA) needs all the bandwidth it can get...?
LPDDR5 it is, and that 400GB/s memory bandwidth for the M1 Max...!Wouldn't that be a long shot? The A15 uses LPDDR4. At best, the next M chip, hopefully built on the same TSMC node, would use that.
M1 Max in a new Mac mini is gonna be a great little 3D / DCC workstation...!
Makes me super excited to see what is in store for the Mac Pro lineup...!!!
Mining on a laptop though?if M1 max score 62 Mh/s Eth hashrate at 50 watt, it will be instantly out of stock.
They are easier to get a hold of for more reasonable prices. 🤷🏽♂️Mining on a laptop though?
I remember someone did a test and M1 only has 2MH/sMining on a laptop though?
It is not the capacity, but the number of chips. so It will be exactly the same bandwidth.Wonder is the 400GB/s bandwidth is limited only to 64GB ram, or does it apply to 32GB on the Max config?
