iOS "Expensive" to call appDelegate?

I wonder which method of programming is best or least expensive, memory wise.

See if I can explain so you and I understand this

Is it better to call appDelegate from a ViewController a few "views" down the line or just keep forward the object through the ViewControllers??

Try it both ways, run it through Instruments and see which one works the best. I wouldn't worry about it either way though.
