I’ll put it this way and this is what I’ll say regarding the 2022 12.9” M2 iPad Pro vs an older 10.2” 7th generation iPad Pro which i have both.
I much prefer the display of the 12.9” when watching videos (YouTube), movies (Netflix, Disney+, Amazon etc), browsing the web and multitasking. I don’t take my iPad out of my house very much except for if I go on vacation and even then it’s fine and very manageable.
If I were a student or always on the go and needed an iPad outside of the house then yes I’d probably prefer the smaller 11”. However, for home use (which is where I mostly use it) the larger 12.9” display is much more enjoyable. I keep it in the Magic Keyboard and it acts like a lap top or I just pop it off and it becomes a tablet which I use lounging around the house or in my backyard. I will easily sacrifice a little more ease of use and portability which is what you get with the 11” for the larger more immersive 12.9” display, especially for home use.
I will say there’s times where I’m tempted to try out the 11” but I put my 10.2” alongside my 12.9” and I’m reminded why I prefer the larger display. The fact that we have choices for different use cases is a win for everyone!
