After having several of the infamous hairline cracks on my white iPhone 3G slowly spreading and increasing, I've finally decided to send it to Apple for repair/replacement. Does anyone else have any experience with dealing with Apple on the issue? I'm referring to the hairline cracks issue, I haven't dropped my phone, or damaged it in any way. I just really don't want to have to be stuck sending my phone back and forth if people have had a bad experience with Apple not repairing the issue and saying it's "normal wear and tear" or some nonsense like that. The cracks aren't that big of a deal, but it is noticeable and kind of frustrating/annoying. Thanks for the input.

There is a huge thread dedicated to this issue, but short answer it is super easy. Make a Genius bar appointment (I didn't do this and walked in on a day off and was pissed to have to come back another day). Show them the cracks, says its not from being dropped, they give you a new phone.

Be sure to back up your phone before going.
