Howdy! I received an unexpected meager check from a retirement plan so I took the plunge on an Amazon renewed SE2 for my incoming kindergartener. It will be used for bus/tracking purposes, and outside of school she will be taught how to contact all of her parents for fun (we have a unique family!) I am the only iPhone user in our circle so crash detection on her watch will be a huge relief when she is in the car with anyone else.
If she can’t wear it on her wrist at school it will live in her backpack during the day. Regardless, I will use the school time setting. I guess I’m just wondering how reliable it is and what your experiences have been with it
I’m hoping it’s not very hackable for a 6 year old. I don’t want her to be able to make calls or do anything with the watch during school hours. Should I also utilize downtime settings? She does have an iPad Air 5 with app time limits set. I use downtime for my 12 year old during the school year so I’m well versed in it.
