expired MobileMe email now working on iCloud

wow.. apple did something today.. may be the iCloud reset worked for me
only contacts and findmyiphone was working earlier but now everything works
glad that I have my me.com id back.

You're not alone. As of this afternoon, my expired MobileMe e-mail address now works on iCloud. (Previously, I was only able to access Contacts and Find My iPhone.)

Looks like Apple is getting very close to formally launching iCloud.

Odd.

I stopped paying for MobileMe last year. Now with iCloud on my iPhone, it auto-setup my old @me.com email and it can receive mail but not send. Sending to the @mac.com results in a mail undeliverable notice.

Is Apple squashing @mac.com and forcing @me.com only?
