In light of the trojan viruses and root password hacks that have been swirling around blogging sites such as TUAW, I decided to do a scan of my downloads folder using ClamXAV. To my surprise, I found something. It was the VMware Guest OS PDF Guide.
I went back to the VMware website and redownloaded it. The May 30,2008 revision of the PDF flags an infected file. Is it really an infected PDF file and oversight on VMware's part? or is this a mis identification by ClamxAV?
The PDF file can be found here.
