macOS Exporting Aiff from the Say Command in 10.4.9

say -f somefile.txt -o spokenfile.aiff

This is returning an error of -1 Speaking failed: -1

Any Ideas please.

I've done this but it was a while ago and I can't seem to find the script. However it appears apple has an example script that you could probably look at and figure things out with.

Thanks Mate, thats a great workaround, shame it does not work in the command line however, kudos for the free workflow path in applescript.!
