Hello,

I have edited some footages on my Sony HC3 HD camcorder with FCE and I have questions about the best option for exporting these sequences to quicktime file.

Currently I am exporting them using NTSC 720:480 16:9 option, I was wondering if I should have gone with PAL format also at 16:9 ratio for a higher pixel resolution if all I would like to do is to store them on my computer and watch them on a 23'' ACD. If there are better options to retain the quality and frames of the footages after exporting please do let me know.

Thank you

well don't use PAL unless you live in a PAL region. if you live in the states, then its NTSC.

also, 740x480 is nowhere near HD. why have an HD camcorder if you aren't going to edit in HD?

the best choice would be going to an HD native res like 1080x720 or something like that.
