Hi guys what dimensions should I use to export photos from Lightroom to display on my iphone 5? I tried using 2048 px on the long edge for iPad but the images get cut off on the top when viewing in landscape view. I have to pinch to view the full image but then it adds temporary black bars on the side. I did some google searching but nothing has come up. The only info is for exporting for iPad. Any suggestions?

The symptoms you describe involve a problem with the height, not the width (in landscape).

It's the aspect ratio that matters: 16:9 for iPhone 5. The iPad's aspect ratio is 4:3.

For a 16:9 aspect, if the width is 2048 the height should be 1151. If you cropped for iPad (4:3) your dimensions would be 2048 x 1536 (give or take, if you didn't use a fixed aspect ratio for the crop).

You should be able select a 16:9 aspect ratio in Lightroom's crop tool.

For what it's worth, the official spec for iPhone 5 is: 1136-by-640-pixel resolution
