You'd have to re-import it to see it again. There's no way to peruse the contents using anything standard on a Mac. There might be third-party apps that can do it…but I don't know for sure if any work.Stupid question ahead: how do I view the archived folder content? Do I just open it in the Mail app after it's done exporting?
The reason why I'd like to archive a mailbox is that I'd like to close down the email address associated with it. I don't use it at all but I'd still like to save old messages without worrying about spam. You'd have to re-import it to see it again. I can't think of a reason to archive email other than to save some space. I'd come up with something else if it were an issue for me.
If you've got available space in a remaining account you could just copy the mail to folders there. The reason why I'd like to archive a mailbox is that I'd like to close down the email address associated with it. That's actually a nice solution, especially since I don't want to save *every* email but just from a few individuals. I'll see if I can move them using the Mail app on my Mac.If you've got available space in a remaining account you could just copy the mail to folders there.
