I'm trying to replace a faulty hard drive on a friends' ipod but I need to backup the music first. This is the only way to do it since he doesn't have any of the original music files. I know itunes prevents you from doing this, but someone told me I could transfer them over in Songbird. I thought this would be simple, but I can't for the life of me figure out how this works! Any Ideas? Thanks.

I don't know if this helps at all, and you probably already have it, I've used Senuti to back up my iPod music/vids/etc into iTunes...

Is Songbird different? I've never used it so I don't know.

I just finished copying everything over with Senuti and it worked great, thanks. :)

melrose, Songbird is a media player/web browser... I'm not quite sure how it works.
