I have a apple G4 laptop that I took with me on my honeymoon so I could take the pictures off of the memory card and load them to the computer so I would not have to use a bunch of memory cards. I took over 1800 pics and now I am back and I want to transfer them to my G5 tower. I have both of them hooked up to my network, and I was able to transfer them but it does not recognize the files when I try to import them into iphoto. I went to the export option in iphoto on the laptop and exported them using either jpeg or the original format and neither one of them worked. Could someone please guide me on how to get the pics off of the laptop. Thank you.

If your computers are networked, just follow the instructions here to move from one to the other: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1229 Obviously, do not delete from the original machine unless you specifically want to. You could also use an app like iPhoto Library Manager of iPhoto Buddy to work with your libraries.
