I can't figure out how to export images from my own shared album.

I've taken a lot of photos on both my iPhone and digital camera. I've imported them all to my photo library, and added a subset of these to a shared album. I'm trying to export all images from the shared album, but I'm not able to - all options when I click "Export" are greyed out.

I've seen on Apple Support Communities (and another thread here) that you need to select all of the images you want to export, from the shared album, and then click "Import. That's crazy if all of the images are already imported into my library. I'm the only person who has added photos to this shared album, so literally every photo in the shared album is in my library somewhere.

I could manually go through the library and select the corresponding photos that are in the shared album, but this would take a long time as they are scattered through my library, and there's a good chance I'd miss some out accidentally.

I did try to import all of the shared photos to my library, but once I did, Photos tried to upload them all to iCloud again, meaning the same photo would take up twice as much space, because it would be there twice!!

Does anybody have any idea how I can export images from my own shared album?

God no, sorry missed the shared part. I don't use iCloud or any cloud solutions.
