HI... I am trying to export a quicktime movie from final cut pro and I'm encountering some problems. I want a self contained movie and I've ticked the box that says 'make movie self contained' but when I export the files are broken up into three or more componants each of 2g size and a reference file. I don't understand why it's doing this as I can't seem to make uncompressed quicktime files of my sequence to use on other computers.

Please help...

Are you exporting it to a FAT32 or FAT16 formatted hard drive?

martinX hit the nail on the head. Your hard drive is formatted for Windows systems. For use with a Mac, it should be formatted as "Mac OS Extended" (aka HFS+).
