does anyone have any suggestions on how to export the sound from a .wmv file? I can open them in quicktime, so I tried that, then exporting the sound through quicktime, but that doesn't work.

Are there any 3rd party applications that would do it for me?

AudioHijack will record the sound of whatever app you want to whatever format you need; it's a pretty handy utility and sounds like it'll do what you want.

Thanks for the link, I was looking to do the same thing.
