Exposed Ports of Gen 2

    who else here dislikes the exposed ports of the new MBA and prefer the smooth, clean outline of the Gen 1 ?

    That's the only problem I have with Gen 2 appearance-wise.....it reminds me of this...

    I actually really disliked the trapdoor on the first generation MBA. Made it look awkward and cheap when it was opened.

    Gotta agree. I'll take sturdy over "sleek" any day.

    I must admit I liked the minimalistic appearance of the previous generation Air when its port door was closed and no ports were visible. However, the new generation's design looks so much sleeker and I prefer it, myself. I am glad, however, that I have the 11.6" Air because it lacks an SD card slot and I think SD card slots are hideous. Maybe some day the Air will benefit from conductive charging and better wireless technologies that allows it to ditch most of its ports (I have doubts about wireless display technology) but until then, hello ports!
