Express card drive

Would it be possible to have an 8gb sd card plugged into the expresscard slot as the main OS X drive, then use the hard drive for apps and documents.

Possible, yes. Faster, no. It would be interesting to try, Im just guessing to be honest but from my knowledge that is what I think.

no it wouldn't. especially off of an SD card.

there are different types of flash memory, and SD cards certainly aren't the fastest out there, which is why they are so inexpensive too.

i don't think you'd see any gains at all with this.
