ExpressVPN running on Rosetta 2 - is this really ok?

I am about to buy the MBA M1. However there is a VPN that I use that needs to be run through rosetta 2 since the M1 cannot run it natively yet.

Simple question - will this be ok? The VPN will work just fine right?

It's probably best to ask your VPN provider directly because most VPNs depend on software supplied by each VPN provider.

Conceptually, Malwarebytes' file scanning should be OK under emulation because it basically just reads files. But again, it's best to either search Malwarebytes' website or to reach out to the developer.

I'm using VPN Unlimited on my M1 MBA and haven't noticed any issues. The controller app isn't ARM/Apple Silicon native yet but otherwise seems to work just fine. When I disconnect from the VPN, I just quit the app.
