Hello

I've spent a lot of time lurking in these forums and really enjoy the great information here.

I'm planning to purchase mobile me (despite the recent headaches). I'm mainly after it to host a simple website.

I'm going to purchase another macbook and get the $30 discount off mobile me.

I was wondering if it is possible to sign up for the trial first and squeeze two more months out of the deal. Before the trial period expires, I would open up my mobile me box and use the activation key to continue its use.

I was all ready to try this but while I was signing up for my trial, I had to input my credit card number and that gave me cold feet. I don't want to pay for my subscription through CC. I'd rather do it by buying the box. I loathe to give away my credit card information especially with all these phishing scams around.

1. If I give my CC information, can I take it out later after I've activated it with my code from the box?

2. If I just start my subscription straight from the box, will it still require me to input a CC number?

3. Right before the Trial ends, if I don't "renew" with the CC, can I activate it with the box and STILL KEEP THE SAME ACCOUNT that I've started with the Trial?

Thanks for the help.

Yes.

No.

Yes.

Also note that the trial doesn't offer full storage capacity. You won't be able to get much use out of online storage (including mail, iDisk, and webhosting) until you're on the paid subscription.
