When I choose About this Mac > System Report there are no extensions or software displayed. This happens under Yosemite, El Capitan, Sierra and High Sierra. I always upgraded these partitions from Mavericks. How can I make them visible?

I found the cause. A beta extension from OWC Accelsior that was not loaded was the culprit. After installing the correct extension it's now OK.
