Hi.

I want to know how do you delete songs from your iTunes? Years ago, I simply right click and delete and that's it. Now I delete the song 100 times and it still pops up on my list. They sprout like fungus no matter how many times I hide them.

Any ideas?

Hold down the CMD + OPTION keys and press Delete.

For example, I deleted all the songs I don't want in my iTunes library anymore. I synced my phone. While shuffling my songs, the songs I deleted appear again on my iPhone and start playing too.

So you delete a song from a playlist, then you will still be able to find it if you search your entire music library. However if you select a song or songs from playlists with the Opt and Cmd keys held down and press the Delete key then if you go to your Music library in iTunes and search then you will find it is not there, but there are no dialog boxes. However instead of going to a playlist if you delete a song from the Music Library in iTunes you get the following dialog box...

However, I tried adding a song from a playlist and then simply deleting the song from the playlist and it removed it from the ipod, so I'm not sure what the problem is for you. Do you have 'only sync checked songs' checked. that might help.
