Fellow Nerds:

I'm in the market for an external battery pack. What is the best (or top 3) external battery pack with a built-in Lightning connector and provides 2.1Amp to take advantage of the fast charging capability of the iPhone 6?

Thanks all in advance for your help!

Open web browser -> go to www.amazon.com -> search "external battery lightning"

Lots of options there with great reviews.

Don't think you will find a 2.1Amp solution though.

Yes, I did that simple search, finding nothing with the fast charge option. To think I didn't search Amazon is strange. Since I couldn't find an answer through simple searching, that's why I posted searching for expert advice because simple searching turned up nothing. Perhaps this is the definition of why these forums exist. To link me to Amazon and then say I won't find what I'm looking for.... Why would you do that? If you're an expert and know it doesn't exist, state that emphatically. If you're not sure and you're just suggesting I search Amazon, please don't post at all. You might as well have said "search google though I have no idea what you will find"

Oooh! Oooh!

Found one: http://www.amazon.com/Tylt-IP5PPLANT-T-POWERPLANT-Lightning-Charging/dp/B00BNK79X2
Built in Lightning Connector Charging Arm.

Allows you to charge your Lightning device directly from Powerplant

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

With the high-powered 2.1A output, the TYLT PowerPlant is capable of charging most tablets (those supporting a 5V input). The high-powered output also ensures you can rapidly charge two devices simultaneously.
5 star average with 10-reviews.

$70 though :(

Also found a car charger with 2.1Amp: http://www.belkin.com/us/p/P-F8J071/

First, I thank you for a useful response. I have that car charger and it works well. For the battery pack, I'm wary to order something with only 4 reviews but I will keep it on my watch list.

Any other external battery packs that people like which provides a lightning cable and 2.1amp charging?

I'll keep looking and post any of them I come across. Hopefully we can find one with enough reviews so that you are comfortable buying it :)

Edit: Found another - $23 and 126 reviews with a 4 star average.
2 USB ports provide 3.1A output current for the immediate rapid Charging, Can charge two devices at the same time (Only one USB Charging cable included). USB 1 Output: 5V 1A, USB 2 Output: 5V 2.1A
Edit #2: Nevermind about the product above ^, it looks like the most recent reviews of it are **** and it might not even have the 2.1A output that the description states it does...

Edit #3: Found this one by Anker - $29.99, 13000mAh, 1846 reviews with a 4.6 star average
LG Grade A cells and premium chips ensure reliability and safety, supplying 500+ recharge cycles over a lifetime. Use a 2 amp adapter (not included) and the included Micro USB cable for fastest charging (6.5 hours).

Anker with short lightening, dual wall connector

I ordered the following three components to get what you describe. I have been very happy with this setup, been using it for a couple of months for my iPad and my current iphone 5S. It has worked well, and should provide equal satisfaction for my 6, should I ever actually obtain one....:(
