External BluRay Burner advise needed

Hello,
I just ordered my 27.5" iMac 5K and I want to get an external drive that is more than just the apple drive. I want to be able to watch and burn blurays. It would be sweet if it would connect with a Thunderbolt 2 connection. Any buying advise or software advise?

I would get an internal drive and add it in an external enclosure.
