Does anyone know, whether there exists an external case connected via USB and/or Firewire that can host multiple hard drives and optical drives? I know there are plenty for single drives, but what I am looking for would ideally host 2-4 hard drives, 2-4 drives for changeable media of a size of 5 1/4", a USB and Firewire hubs and maybe a reader for flash memory cards (like the ones, which can be built into PC towers). Right now I have several external single drive cases and lots of cables on my desk and with one such big external case I could get rid of that mess.

I have searched for somethng like this in the past, but never really found anything I liked. I think the problem may be cost because each bay would need a separate chipset, which are not cheap. The few that I did come across were very expensive (and ugly).

Do you still know, where you found information on those on the web? Even if they are expensive and ugly, I would like to know my options.

Anyways, thanks for the answer.
