Hello all, my first post, I usually find answers by searching but this time I need help. Thanks in advance.

I have a MBP 15" Early 2011, just got a like new DELL 2711 display, I do photography so I wanted something bigger to replace my 23 Cinema Display. I got the apple mini display port to DVI adapter as well as the mini display port to HDMI.

I did a search before I got the display to check the max output resolution on over the mini display port out of my mac, apparently it is 2560x1600...

The think is, I can't select anything over 1920x1080 using the miniDP to DVI and that is what I had on the old apple display...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you guys for all of your help and input. I need to source out this cable now, one with good feedback and one that is available where I live. :)
