Hey, I have that same desk. I like it because you can hook up the external monitor and slide the MBP in the slot between the desktop and the monitor shelf, and you have the whole desk top to work on. With the external mouse and keyboard, you barely know it's a laptop.

That's exactly what i was planning on doing lol.

Mounting the Westinghouse L1916HW on a Swing-Arm or Wall

If you are only going to look at a 19", Westinghouse makes a 19" that has a resolution of 1680 x 1050, and is on sale for $159.

VESA wall-mountable design

Lets you place the monitor wherever you want, freeing up desk space..

OK I'll bite: I want to mount the Westinghouse L1916HW monitor on a swing-arm. I was asked if it is VESA compatible which I have no idea about, let alone if it is wall mountable, but here I read it is -- Good enough. The QUESTION is HOW do you mount it on a swing arm?!? While I was able to figure out how to remove the base stand I see no way whereby you can remove the "neck" into which the base fits. I see no way one can remove the back "bump" plate (the cover with the Westinghouse "W" that contains the joint that allow one to move the monitor up and down since there are no screws that would allow one to remove this cover. ) If anyone has actually mounted this monitor on a swing arm or wall would please tell me HOW they actually figured out to mount the monitor on a swing-arm I would appreciate it if you tell me HOW you did it.

Thanks
