External Drive Problem

I have a Freecom 120gb external drive which I use on my macbook pro. When I take this drive around to my mates imac and transfer data when a put it back on my macbook pro I get drive not recognized. I have to then reformat the disc and loose the data.

This has happened three times now !!! any ideas, help

Sounds like a bad drive. Get a new one.

Are you ejecting the drive icon before physically disconnecting it from your friend's computer?
