Is there a hard drive that i would be able to connect both to my mac pro and windows computer at the same time and be able to access them from both computers?

Any drive formatted as FAT32 (or NTFS with two utilities installed in OS X).

You could use a NAT Drive formated as FAT32/NTFS.

The format doesn't matter so much if it's installed on a network server. A spare MacMini with 1Gb LAN makes a great little home server, cheap too! :D
