My external drive keeps spinning up and down after I put my iMac to sleep. The external drive is a 10TB G-Technology connected to a 2019 iMac running OS 10.15.3. It doesn't happen all the time when I put the iMac to sleep. It happens when the drive is connected either by USB 3 or Thunderbolt. System Report says it is an HGST drive. Nothing else about it. Any ideas why this is happening?
