External Drives Not Showing Finder

Previously been able to view in Finder Sidebar but now not showing, but Icons showing on Desktop?

Finder Preferences are set to show External HDs etc

Any advice would be appreciated.

In Finder / Preferences / Side bar, try unchecking / checking again the "External Disks" tick box.

If not solved :
- Relaunch the Finder (/Force Quit/Finder, Relaunch)

If not solved :
- Test in another account.

If it works in another account, you will have to delete a preference file in your account :

~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.sidebarlists.plist

Many thanks for your quick response, however it was a 'senior moment' - 'Hide' devices had been selected for some reason!
