External DVD burner slow on finalization vs. Windows

Any suggestions to speed up external DVD burning more fast. Finalize really slow and I can burn the same DVD / External burner much more quick on a Windows machine.

Attempt w finder in Mac and alsoaNero. I am simply copying around a gig of jpgs each DVD at 8x.

I'd try either "Burn" or "Simply Burns".
Both are free.

Thanks for the advice, but no dice. I am still over 5 mins w/ both.. Also tried various PC(Joliet), ISO 9660+JolietHFS+(Hybrid), WTF... There has to be a solution. Firewire? I still have to explain why the SAME CRAPPY DVD burner is much more quick on WINDOZE.
