external dvd-rom/cdrw

[question fear]

I am looking to get an external dvd-rom/cdrw. my internal one on my ibook is broken, and i finally have some money for a new one....any suggestions? im thinking firewire for sure, but there are several options out there...
my ibook is a g3 900mhz, running 10.2.8 if that helps.

Yeah, apple has a list of supported burners, let me see if I can't find it.... Looks like apple has done away with their list, but here is a different one. http://www.charismac.com/Support/Discribe/discribedevice.html Also anything sold from the apple store should work too, you just might want to shop around for price.
